Okay i didnt know what to title this thread...so hence the title

i just surfed treocentral in the discuss section and man the rumors of the treo 600 is nuts!

1. someone actually got a SDIO BT card to work, as one of his friends who works for palm sent him the Beta drivers for the OS 5...and well nothing is known further http://discuss.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=50803

2. I was going to buy a BT headset for non BT phones..Ie the jabra one. The one i like, only to find out that the thing is basicaly useless as it lacks the ability to use the talk button when connected to the phone.. Ie you have to do everything from the phone and just talk thru the headset

3. Good news!...Blackberry Connect for Plam OS has been introduced and is slated to hit the market in Q4 (only 2 more Q's to go LOL) http://discuss.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=50721

don't worry too much. your treo phone WILL DIE in somedays . so you should not worry too much from now, since it will happen sooner or later. LOL

you would not expect your treo would last for 100 yrs right?

use it, enjoy it.

i love the phone. i only have had the treo for less than 1 month. i still can return it and get the $$ back, but i won't. since it is the best phone i ever had (may be i already had some crapy one before. but again, all my other phones are just the phone, not the smartphone type)

enjoy!

i get an insurance plan for my treo. does your carrier carry the insurance plan as well? i would hate to lose / break for any reasons without insurance plan thou.

interesting enough.... I got treo for 399 + tax. it is just 20 bucks more than what I paid for Samsung E715 (379 + tax). I did not even bother to have the insurance plan for E715 before. hee hee. I guess I realize the retail price of an unlocked treo is just TOOOOOOO MUCH...

why insure it? after all, as you said, it won't last a 100 years and eventually it will die anyway.

oh i know all cell phones die...hehe im just perplexed why people had defective units..

but dont worry im enjoying this puppy

true. if it dies, i can claim the insurance to get the new one. that is the insurance for.

maybe they play rugby with it? lol i dont know.. i still have my original treo since nov 2003.. so far so good..

actually, i've noticed a lot of ******* posts on treocentral. people say things like "i often drop my treo from 3 centimeters on my desk" and then complain about speakers jarring, screen looking weird etc. consistently drop your treo from a height of 3 inches onto a hard surface is not good for such a device :P

now you know why people have "defective" units.

^geez, i didnt think people were that stupid.

Sometimes when im frustrated with a phone, i throw it onto my bed which is soft

proof. here's the thread

here's the first post:

Treo resets when set down on table

Not all the time, but enough that I've noticed it happening. And not with any particular force either - sort of the equivalent of being dropped from 3 centimeters.

Is this an advanced-returnable offense?
