Audiovox 9000 & web alerts

I have an Audiovox 9000 which I thought was not capable of receiving Web alerts. I get the envelope icon that comes up on the screen. When I hit the envelope icon I get a msg saying to check my Web Inbox. It then moves me to my regular msg menu options. Voice or Text. I go into each option and there is nothing. I've tried a reset and master reset but it will not clear the icon. I've had my carrier remove all web and SMS features but it still wont clear. any suggestions?
