Can somebody please help me?

How is Vonage vs. Primus?

Here's all I know, please let me know what I missed and whose is better for call quality on the 3.0mbps/800kbps Sympatico:
Vonage:
pros:
-VMMI (Voicemail msg indicator on phones will light up
-VOIP only, no other services to tie resources with
-24hrs sales and tech

cons:
-American company
-No $5/mth or other monthly discount for voip phone adapter purchase
-no number portability in Mississauga/Canada
-no 5 way conference calling, just 3 way... 5 way is good if u have (my mom has 3 sisters in the USA) family in Houston, Washington D.C., New Jersey and yourself = 4 users already means we all talk for free to each other!

Primus:
pros:
-24hr tech
-Canadian
-free cordless phone
-$5/mth discount with phone adapter
purchase
-more likely to have number portability for other areas of Mississauga (other than cooksville) such as Clarkson/Lorne Park

cons:
-no 24hr sales
-VMMI (Voicemail msg indicator on phone may not light up)
-5way conference calling
-Primus may go bankrupt (my guess)?

Actually, Primus isn't totally Canadian. They have Canadian operations and offices, as is required by law, but their parent company is actually Yankee, based in Virginia actually.

Going by what you've listed for each company, clearly Primus looks to be the better choice. Sure, they don't have 24 hour sales, but how many times do you plan on ordering the service?

Also, what is your reasoning for Primus to go bankrupt? They've been around for quite a while offering discount long-distance and they even run an Internet Service Provider.

Sympatico High-Speed Edition should be adequate for VoIP. I think you place the VoIP equipment after the modem so that it can regulate bandwidth accordingly to provide consistent service.
