Sold unlocked..i would do the foreign sim test, but I dont know anyone on FIDO, thus i dont have a fido sim

hmm. probably not. good question though. would be surprised if they are unlocked. when i bought mine off ebay, the seller (Who works for rogers) said it was a rogers Treo - indicating it was a locked-on-rogers treo.

the reason i also ask, i believe andyvx said that his tungsten W was unlocked...so im curious

again too bad you or i dont have a fido sim or foreign sim

The bleeding-edge method is to update your Treo with patched firmware.

Currently, 2.09 and 2.12 firmware has been patched by F- and M- to unlock the device. If you use one of these versions in combination with the unpatched 3.04, in accordance with the instructions above, you can bring your treo up to date and keep it unlocked.

yea the rogers treos are locked... pulled one from the store. and popped in a fido yup..

if it makes you feel better my treo is unlocked..

the ones at Rogers are locked...but you can order one from PalmOne unlocked

unlocking a treo is not a big deal. just buy it from rogers and unlock it. save on shipping costs and buy direct from a rogers store.

also, you can buy treo 600's from independent computer stores like CompuSmart and CompuCentre. Unlocked of course.

hmmm, i thought Compucenter/smart were Rogers retailers...and those would be locked
