Hi there,
I have purchased a USB to IrDA wireless connector (MI620) off of ebay.

I've followed all the proper install instructions, but the Nokia Suite 4.5 software won't recognize my 6590i.

The IR port on the phone works because I've tested it with other sources.

I'm running XP and this item is basically a dongle on the end of a usb cable. I have a P4 2.6, so this is a new computer.

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

thx in advance!

I've had problems in the past getting the Nokia Data Suite to recognize my 6590i as well. It seemed it was after I started loading Oxygen Phone Manager and Logomanager on the same box. This was on 2000 Pro. Now I don't use Data Suite anymore and am using XP Pro.

I have a SigmaTel dongle and I know these mods had to be made on XP Pro:

1) Go to the Device Manager
2) Select the USB-Ir Adapter and right-click to select Properties
3) Under Transceiver Type, select "SigmaTel 4000"
