HI EVERY1, A COUPLE OF THINGS I WANT 2 ASK ABOUT MPX200.
(1) HOW CAN I ASSIGN RINGTONES I HAVE STORED ON MY MEMORYCARD 2 CONTACTS IN MY PHONEBOOK? I CAN'T SEEM 2 DO THIS. (2) HOW CAN I FREE UP MEMORY ON MY MPX200, I'VE TRIED & TRIED & I CAN'T FIND THIS FEATURE EITHER, (I DON'T USE THE INTERNET WITH THIS PHONE). (3) DOES ANY1 KNOW IF A HOLSTER IS SOLD 4 THIS PHONE? THE CALLER ID SCREEN ON THE OUTSIDE IS ALL SCRATCHED UP. (4) FINALLY DOES ANY1 KNOW HOW I CAN REMOVE A BUNCH OF PROGRAMS I HAVE INSTALLED ON MY PHONE? I GO 2 THE REMOVE PROGRAMS FEATURE & IT SAYS I CAN'T DELETE, I GO 2 THE EXPLORE FEATURE IN THE ACTIVESYNC PROGRAM ON MY CPU & IT SAYS I DON'T HAVE PERMISSION 2 DO THIS. WEIRD????????

Hello,

If you are having troubles removing programs, it might be time for a hard reset, you can reset your phone by holding the blue button down while you turn on the phone, you will get a choice on the screen that reset, choose yes, it will take about five mins, and you will have a clean slate. Then you can start installing programs that you want.

As far as I can figure out, there is no way to choose a custom ringtone on the memory card, maybe once you clear your phone you can put the ringtones on the phone.

There are lots of cases out there, I am looking for one myself, here are a couple that I have found so far:

Krussel

Vaja (very pricy)

There's allways eBay

Hope this helps, also, you might want to keep the capital letters to a minimum, it is considered rude in forums to type all in Capitals, it is like you are yelling.

thanks jojo, i'm sorry 4 the caps didn't know it meant i was yelling. i just did the hard reset, i'll keep u posted on how everything goes.

pertaining to ur qn on customize of ringtone, i thk u can try to do it whilst editing ur contacts... but if i m not wrong, ur ringtone shd b stored in the windows folder first n b in the midi format... sorrie if i m wrong 'cos i have not tried it on my phone s i juz got it for oni a week

so pls enlighten me if it's working n correct me if i m wrong.. :laughs:

Just to be clear, can I assign different ringtones to different people in my contact list? I want to be able to know who is calling just from the ringtone.

You have to go into contacts. Select the contact you want and hit the action button. Then select edit. Scroll down through options such as name, phone#, work#, etc..and you will come to option that says custom ringtones....easy as that.
