"failed to download file from handset" notice on GX-20 - Why?

hello everybody!
i have a GX-20, with USB data cable, using mobile action USB cable driver, and data manager 8.0.

when i try to download a file from the handset to the computer, bigger than aproximately 40kb, there is an error!
the error says: "failed to download file from handset"

the signal is 83dbm (it's written at the button line in the software)

do i need to change the settings at the mobile action USB cable driver?

it's bad because all the quality pics are above 40kb.

ps: i tried to download these files at the picture section and at the general files section, in data manager.

files big as 4kb, are being downloaded quickly!

plz HELP!

hey, it happens to me too, but if you do it enough times, it'll go through finally lol..

I have everything uploaded now.

btw.. where do you get ringtones from? just wondering, because i don't know where to get them. do you just make them or can i use any ringtones, for example from the samsung threads.

Yeah you can use the SMAF ringtones from the Samsung forum as long as they're the 16 chord, or converted WAV files. But the problem is most of them have that annoying copyright protection non-sense, which makes getting them to the phone a pain in the a$$.

hey, i don't have that problem anymore lol.. i just pushed the datacable plug really hard into the phone.. haha heard a snap(bad one, i thought), but then i don't have that problem anymore haha

i guess it was just loose? i mean i had it tight enough so that you still needed to press the side buttons to unlatch the cable from the phone, but then i just pushed it in harder? haha try at your own risk.

i think my cable is not OEM...
