VX6000 Clock?

Has anyone found a way to access or change the clock on a VX6000, or is that just taken from the tower?

Also, has anyone found a way to keep the front lcd from turning off? It would be nice to see the time when the phone is sitting in its charger. I've noticed that certain button combinations keep the front lcd displayed indefinitely when the clamshell is closed. However, this seems to be more of a bug as I have not been able to reproduce this with a specific combination.

The time is just taken from the tower.. however it should be pretty accurate. Why would you want to change it, just out of curiousity.

As for getting the clock to stay on.. I'm not sure there is any way to do that.

Just curious. The World Clock application seems to think I'm in a different time zone than what I'm currently in. For instance, I'm at EST, yet New York and Washington appear an hour early. So it's not so much the time I want to change, but my time zone.

Ahhh !
kk, that's an easy one to solve.
Daylight savings time, or DST, is set to off. You're gonna want to turn it on.

Go into the world clock screen. (Menu > 8 > 8)
Then hit the left button(Set DST)
It will then ask you " [New York] Do you want to set DST? "
Click yes.

Problem solved. It will apply daylight savings time to all the US time zones that use it. Which will fix your problem. =)
