Cingular VS T-Mobile. Baltimore

I need to buy a phone, and am not sure if I should get Cingular or T-mobile. I am attracted to the low price and lots o minutes by Tmolie. But I have heard good thing about Cingular as well.
Any one have experience in Maryland with both?
