Hi

I followed these steps for T-Mobile Internet with your Sony Ericsson T68i and Palm Vx. But I'm using a T610 to try to connect.

Setting up the handset

1. On the handset press the joystick to display the main menu.

2. Scroll to the Connect icon and press the joystick in.

3. Scroll down to Data comm and press the Yes button.

4. Scroll to Data accounts and press the Yes button.

5. Scroll to Add account? and press the Yes button.

6. Highlight GPRS data and press the Yes button.

7. Enter T-Mobile GPRS as the name for the new data account, and press the Yes button.

8. Highlight APN: and press the Yes button.

9. Enter the access point name as internet2.voicestream.com, and press the Yes button.

10. Highlight the User id: field, and press the Yes button. Enter (a username is not required by T-Mobile, please leave this field blank) , and press the Yes button to confirm.

11. Highlight the Password: field, and press the Yes button. Enter (a password is not required by T-Mobile, please leave this field blank), and press the Yes button to confirm.

12. Scroll down to Save? and press the Yes button to complete the new data account.

13. The handset will now display New GPRS data account created. Highlight T-Mobile GPRS, and press the Yes button.

14. The third line down will say CID=x. Note the CID number as this will be needed for Setting up the connection section.

15. Press the No key 3 times, which will take you back to the Connect menu.

16. Scroll down to Infrared port and press the Yes button.

17. Scroll to On and press the Yes button.

18. Press the No button 2 times to return to the standby screen of the phone.

Setting up the connection

1. On the Palm tap the Home icon.

2. From the main menu, tap Prefs.

3. Tap the drop down menu in the top right corner, and tap Connection.

4. Tap the New button.

5. Enter a name for the connection on the top line, such as myHandset.

6. Ensure that Connection method is set to IrCOMM to Modem.

7. Ensure that Dialing is set to TouchTone.

8. Tap Details.

9. Ensure that Speed is set to 115,200bps.

10. Enter ATZ into the Init String box.

11. Tap OK.

12. Tap OK to return to the main Connection screen.

13. Tap the drop down menu in the top right corner, and tap Network.

14. Tap the Menu icon.

15. From the Service menu tap New.

16. In the Service enter T-Mobile GPRS.

17. Enter guest in the User Name field.

18. Tap the box that reads –Prompt- next to the Password field, and enter guest. Tap OK to confirm the password.

19. Tap the drop down menu next to Connection and ensure that it is set to use the modem connection that was created above.

20. Tap the Tap to enter phone box located next to the Phone field.

21. In the Phone # field, enter *99***x#, replacing x with the number that was noted in Step 14 of Setting up the handset. Tap OK to complete the connection.

Making the connection

1. Tap the Home icon on the palm.

2. Tap Prefs.

3. Tap the drop down menu in the top right corner of the screen and tap Network.

4. Ensure that the Service is set to T-Mobile GPRS.

5. Line up the infrared ports of the handset and the palm device.

6. Tap the Connect button.

I can't seem to get it to connect I get an Error :no carrier (0x1102)
