a56i call timer

howdy all. the manual for the a56i says that one of the choices on the call log menu should be duration, but i dont see it on my phone. also during the call no timer shows the length of the call. how can i fix these things? and finally how do i stop the annoying chirp and beep every time i start a call? thanks guys

For some stupid reason, AT&T disabled that menu feature in the firmware of both the A56 & C56, so you can't have a call timer displayed during a call. Dumb move! As for the beeping at the beginning of a call, you can't turn that off either. personally, i've gotten used to it and actually appreciate the audible feedback. I miss it when I use other phones and have to sit there wondering if the call went through or not (until it finally connects and starts ringing). Hope that helps, even though it's probably not the answer you wanted to hear.
