Need help with edit tool - GU87

I keep getting a "communication time out" error when trying to access the data on my gu87. Could it be the cable that I have? It is a cable I have used for unlocking and flashing before. Do i need a standard serial or usb cable?

You need to ensure that your cable is properly fix onto your phone and you had the right com port to start of with.

The cable is definitely connected. At the bottom of the edit tool program it says "connected with handset", however, when it communicates with the handset the program times out.

I have the same problem

i can connect to my phone but i cant download pictures off of it and i cant upload.... it really makes no sense like i can.. view my phonebook.... and add numbers and stuff but when it comes to viewing the data folder nothing...

get A IR cable it is so much easy to put your ringers and pics on your phone and much faster to!!
