I was just browsing so I thought I'd check out my software version. I just got a new SL56 from Siemens because one of the softkeys broke on my last one. I'm running ver. 11. On Siemens website, it says Cingular customers should be on ver. 9. I've noticed that my battery life sucks complete a** with this new phone and the coverage has been much worse. Anyone know anything about ver. 11 and if this could be causing some of my woes?

Did you have the Rogers version 7 before AT&T version 10? Any advantage to the version 10 over the 7?

from what people have mentioned, the reception is better. Not sure what else is different.

I actually never checked the version before I upgraded, but it was an AT&T branded phone from the US so I know it didn't have Rogers v7. I had to do it twice because the first time made the phone shut off almost everytime I opened it. v11 sucks, I definately don't recommend it. The clock is driving me nuts though... happened with v10 as well so it looks like they're not going to fix it...

Is there a way, other than via the datacable, to apply newer firmware versions?

Could someone from the ATT store do it for me?
