Hi there,
I have to make a decision to buy a phone today. My budget is around $100 and the handsfree speakerphone feature is a must. I have shortlisted 4 phones which fall in that category. Pls tell me which one's worth it.

1) Panasonic A100 (GD 55 revision model)
2) Nokia 2300 (Second Hand)
3) Philips 330 or
4) Siemens C55 or A55.

Thanx.

well i don't know what the phillips or nokia looks like but between the siemens and panasonic i would go for the panasonic if the speaker phone is important to you. the siemens speaker phone is really weak probably cause it doesn't have a separate speaker for it. but reception wise i think the siemens beats the panasonic by quite a bit

Man, i was just checking out the Panasonic A100's specs on different sites, and I ended up confused. Btw, I've ordered the A100 online after thorough scrutiny. Will get it tomorrow, and will write a review in a few days.

Anyways, on panasonic's official site, it is mentioned that:

Quote:
With its 16-polyphonic ring tones, the A100's sound is outstanding. Choose from among 20 built-in melodies according to your mood or create your own distinctive ring tone in rich, 4-tone polyphonic sound.

WTF? so, is the polyphonic speaker 16-tone or 4-tone. More than half other sites suggest that it is 16-tone.

And although Panasonic's official website doesn't mention that the A100 doesn't support GPRS, most of the others say that it does.

Anyways, all doubts will clear once I get the phone tomorrow.

Bye.

i took a look around for you and i think the a100 has 16 chord poly ringtones, and the 4 is for the older gd55 or maybe it's for the built in composer

it does not have gprs to the best of my knowledge
