how to record songs and then use as ringtones for VX6000?

I've heard that you can record songs using voice memo and then send that voice memo as a pix message to yourself and then save it as a ringtone? However, when I do it the song is not played through the speaker only through the earpiece so you can't hear it unless your ear is against the earpiece. What am I doing wrong?

Ok, here's what you do.

First record a voice memo, this can be done by holding down the voice button on the side of the phone until it prompts.

Then go to send pix msg (Menu > 1 > 3 )

Go down to [sound] press ok
it will then prompt for sound or voice memo
select voice memo and put the voice memo that you just recorded in there.

press the red "END" button
it will prompt for you to save the message.
select yes

go to pix saved (Menu > 1 > 6 )
press ok on the message you just saved
press the right soft button(options)

select save sound(5) from the list
rename the file to whatever you would like it to be

voila.. you can now set that as your ringtone
