Verizon & AIM - rehashed

On the AIM website, it claims:
"Now you can use AOL® Instant Messenger™ (AIM) on any mobile phone with Brew 2.0. Go to get it Now and download AIM today. Then enjoy the many features of your Buddy List® on the go."

I checked on ComVerse's website (the guys who wrote the IM application) and didn't find anything other than a note saying that they sold it exclusively to Verizon. All the industry news articles talk about it like it its a service that all their Get-It-Now phones have. This is so odd, why would Verizon limit it to one phone but advertise it as something can be done on all phones?

Anyone know what the deal is?

Have a good day,
Kurt
