Hi,

I'm getting ready to release an application to the public that will allow users to connect their P800/900 to a Bluetooth GPS receiver. The application will be free and I'm working to constantly improve it. Right now it's in beta and if you're interested in helping test then please send me an email. I'm looking for P800 beta testers and if you own a P900 I would love to hear how it runs.

The application has been tested on the P800 with a Belkin GPS receiver. If you have a different config then please feel free to beta test and give feedback. I'm looking to build a lot of functionality into this app and there's a long ways to go. Right now the application tells you lat, lon, speed, and direction. I'm working on a feature list for future versions. Anyway, if you're interested then please send an email to dennis at db75 dot com and I'll be glad to send you a copy.

is this application good only for campass and time etc.. ? what about the maps is it incluided with the belkin gps blue tooth

because curently im planing to buy it i have p900

This is definitely a work in progress so bear with me, I'm developing it in my spare time. There are definitely plans for mapping functionality among other things. The Belkin GPS receiver comes with some basic software that does mapping and I'll be working to get this working in future versions. I hope this helps.

I just released a new version (0.6) that allows you to upload location data to a remote server. You can then login and view your data on-line and download it in .csv format. It's all free so please download it, enjoy, and send feedback to dennis at db75 dot com.

how well does this thing work with teh belkin bluetooth gps reciever? im plannign to pick one up. does belkin include software for the p900?

Yes this works with the Belkin GPS, this is the unit I have. I'm looking to implement mapping in the future and as of right now the Belkin only comes with software for your laptop.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you have a Series 60 device? I'll be porting to S60 in the next couple of months. I've even thought about making a Java version for Java enabled devices that have Bluetooth.
