If you found a midi file that you really really like.... (Like I did ... I found the Last Unicorn Theme, and my wallpaper is a unicorn too!) Anyway I have a small application that allows me to change volume levels on midis. If anyone wants to know about it or wants me to fix a midi for them to use as a ringtone please feel free to PM me.

I do have a midi file that has low volume. I tried to PM you but can't. Please PM me the name of the program you are using or allow me to PM you the file so you can adjust the volume. Thanks in advance.

Ya post the name of the program here so we can do it ourselves.

The program costs 5.00 to enable.... It won't let you save anything if you don't buy it.

It's called:

MIDIFixer

matthewsoftware.com I think

Have yall tried the MP3 GAIN program , it raises volume. Look in the ringtones for 8900 topic, page 5. I figure switching it to an mp3 to do this, and convert it back to midi should work.

I use audacity for mp3's and for the midis i use psmplay but psmplay is in a different language but it still works great. another thing for the mp3's. You have to use a eq on them to get them to sound alot better.

I like mp3's and the idea of using one as a ringtone is very techie etc... but I stick to midi's for one main reason..... the more I get 'away' from what a ringtone traditionally sounds like, the harder it is for me to acknowledge and actually answer the phone lol. Like if I am asleep, and all of a sudden hear a song playing, my mind will think its just the radio and I won't wake up funny eh? I use midi's because even though they are 'tunes' they still sound somewhat like a ringtone.
