Help with converting ringtones and downloading them to my Sanyo SCP 8100...

I know how to use google and the search engine in this forum. There are so many posts that it takes hours to find specifically what I am looking for. I figure, if I make a post, someone will helpfully reply, and save me lots of time.

My question is this. I have a few ringtones that I have downloaded from this site. One in particular is "You have an incoming call" by a female's voice. But it is in MP3 format and I want to download it to my Sanyo SCP 8100 phone (sprint pcs vision). I have xingtone but its the trial version. I would like to try it the free way first before paying for xingtone. Please guys, i'm sure that others have probably asked the same questions but like I said before, this site is so big that it can sometimes take hours to find what you are looking for just to avoid getting blasted by members saying "don't you know how to use google," or, "please use the search feature." Case in point, one topic i was looking through had like almost 90 pages!! To look through all of those pages is inefficient. Please help me out guys and girls, I would really appreciate it.

"...I want to download it to my Sanyo SCP 8100 phone..."

For starters, this is the LG forum; you want the Sanyo Forum. You probably won't get much help here with your phone.

"...But it is in MP3 format..."

What do you want to convert it to? If you need it in MIDI format then you are out of luck (to the best of my knowledge). My understanding is that MIDI will do tones, but can't mimic human sounds (speech) which is why no MIDI ringtones have lyrics in them. Your best bet is to determine if your phone can do MP3 ringtones and keep it in MP3 form.
