Why cant I find a USB driver for my 8900?

I had a VX6000 so I got this USB cable with a sticker on it that says LG7000/VX6000. I used this cable on my old computer and edited my VX6000 using bitpim.

Now I have a CDM8900 and I want to edit it. I'm trying to follow these online instructions, but they all say go to (http://www.futuredial.com/support/u...ers/Drivers.htm) but when I go there, there is not one specific driver for the 8900. I downloaded the USB Installer file and the specific USB file for the VX6000 and nothing worked.

Where can I go to get the USB driver for the CDM8900? Or do I have to buy a specifc cable for the CDM8900 and use the driver that it comes with?

All I want to do is get rid of the flashing Verizon banner on the outside LCD.

Thanks,

cXn

ok 1st of this forum had some issues adding me.. but i really wanted to get this info to u because it definately frustrated me (the banner BS)! these drivers do work!(Future Dial) I used the LG vx600(verizon). I know it doesnt show cdm 8900. i think the Audiovox 8300 or 9100 would probably work, but I used the vx600. then use the BitmPim. you will probably connect on com 2 (usb to serial port) or somthing like that. I used the audiovox 8900 as the fone for this setup. you then click on file system, you might get an error.. this should be ok.. just click on file system again and everything should show up. I would suggest backing up your fone before editing. Check this site for the patches and other great info. CDM 8900

This was done on WinME using the and BitPim 0.7-test6

- I also tried this site curitel
Download driver for 95C - however it wouldnt install properly.. but give it a shot.

I hope all this helps. Laters (=

I host the Curitel v4.10 drivers on my site. Those should get you rolling if you have a straight through USB cable, and it's prompting you for drivers for a "Curitel Communications Device"

Zaediex,

I tried downloading your drivers, and my virus checker went off. I don't know if it was a false alarm or not, but you might want to scan them.
