lg4400 vs Samsung A650 vs LG4500

Hi
I am torn between the 3 models listed, with all 3 being available to me from my Verizon dealer, as a new customer. The LG reviews seem to mention weaker digital reception than the SamsungA650 reviews. Does that make any sense?
I would probably go for the LG4400 because it is tri-mode (while the 4500 isn't) and it also has an LCD display that shows who is calling when the phone is closed (the Samsung A650 doesn't).
But the Samsung is the latest available phone from Verizon and could be good. Past experience with Samsungs, from Sprint at least, was good.
Anyone have strong opinions or relevant experience?
