Help Please Slider Faceplate

Well, my friend tried to put on the faceplate for me but it didnt work, well it did but he scrachted the ribbon and the screen blacked out....we ddid everythin we could have and nothing changed so i had to get a new 1 for 50
can any1 help me in my area or ill send it to you to do it for me
