Hi, can anyone please tell me why would ALL my entires of my address book would be gone when I turn the phone on? It happened to me quite a few times. Is there a way for me to protect it? I don't even know what I did to make them disappeared. All I did was to press and hold the on button to turn on the phone, next thing I know, the addressbook is empty and all the programmed key too is gone.

Same thing happened to my SL55. Weirdest thing. Only the addressbook was affected, all of my uploaded pictures and ringtones were still there. I don't know what happened either, all I can guess is that SOMEHOW, in my pocket, the "erase addressbook" command got triggered, but that seems ridiculously improbably. Luckily, I had just backed up the addressbook with the data cable, but it was still pretty scary.

well, basically I'm still within the warranty period. but i've unlocked the phone myself i doubt if they would still consider my phone under warranty.

also, i don't think is MY phone that is defective, i think its the on button of the M55 that would trigger the "delete addressbook" function somehow. cos friend of mine who has the same phone had the same thing happened to her. I'm just wondering whether anyone here knows how to fix this bug?! was it the unlocking that i did or is it just the original M55 itself that does that??

note: it does not happen every time i turn on the phone, but it happened to me 3 times already! its very irritating when i have to reenter the info again. and the fact that i like to use the address book instead of the phone book is because of the caller id function that would show people's photo.
