Ive been reading and learning a lot from this site about my phone..

i guess im luckier than most.. because

I dont have that blinking VERIZON WIRELESS crap on my subLCD..
my sub LCD has a nice bright white light.. and everything seems to be working in perfect order.. straight from the Verizon Store. Brand New. I guess I have an "updated" version?

except.. my phone acts strange sometimes..

one second, my phone will get reception, and the next, it will show none.. and then back to a few bars of reception, if not full reception.

is anyone elses phone like this?

Hi,
Yeah my phone does the signal thing too, but most of the time the bars are all shown. Do U have an alert for missed calls? Mine works only with the voice mail.

i dont know about that "beeping" for a missed phone call.. i dont think ive ever heard it on my phone.. all i get is the "MISSED CALL (X)" on my subLCD..

Are you on a local plan or a national plan?

It doesn't just matter. It makes all the diference in the world. Local PRL's are not ERI(Enhanced Roaming Indicator) ...encumbered. Basicaly local plans don't need ERI's and the ERI for the Vox 8900 is what causes the "Verizon Wireless" banner to display constantly.
