Questions regarding Flashing Keypads for specifically the 3595

Hi, im planning on getting a flashing keypad from ebay and had a couple of questions beforehand:

1) Does changing the oem lighted keypad to a non-oem flashing keypad from ebay change the LCD LED display?? For instance, the 3595 has some nice and bright white LEDs that i dont want changed, will it be changed after i put the new non-oem one in...i dont want my LCD to be all sorts of colours...orange, red, green, etc.

2) The auction site says its easy to swap the keypads around, is this true? Ive taken a look underneath the faceplate of my 3595 and it looks like ill have to be doing some unscrewing...anyone try modding the Lighted keypad to a flashing one?

Thanks for reading...

ok i had the 3595 and the light up keypad. i got mine from ebay as well. i just had to place the very thin circuit board under the buttons. it was thin and bendable. then take the other end of it an attach it to the battery. its very easy to do. now if your changing the actuall phone LED's, then im at a loss cause i have no idea how to do that.

really? just placed under the buttons?? so you dont have to unscrew anything?? hmm the flashing keypad must be really thin then. So youre telling me that all the original OEM white LEDs that already come with the 3595 are not removed??

Thanks for your reply by the way.

its like i said, if your actually changing the leds, then you have some work to do. but if your getting the flashing lights keypad, for the 3595, its just a thin circuit board with small but bright leds attached to it. it goes under the face, under then buttons and attaches to battery. the cable attachment to battery looks a little funny but its cool. but yes thats it. not hard at all.
