E-mailing myself pics and ringtones

So I'm e-mailing myself pictures and ringtones using my Yahoo Mail account addressed to MyPhoneNumber@vzwpix.com
The first 2 pictures went through find and all the ringtones I sent were good, but when I started sending more pictures (the third and fourth one), I was able to see the pictures I sent within the message then I hit "Save Pix" in the menu. Then when I go to my Graphics browser, the picture is there, but it's not the correct one. It's either shown as a duplicate of the picture before it, but with the correct name I chose for it when I saved it. What's the deal with this?

that's strange, i never heard of that before. you only attached one picture per e-mail, right?

yep, just one per e-mail

that's wierd. if i was you, i would delete the pics that you are having problems with and dial *28899 send. it's the shortcut to dialing *228 then option 2 to update your prl, but it also resets all of your data transfer features and re-programs the phone. that's the number to call if you ever have problems sending or receiving pix or text messages and it should fix it. it sounds like something may have gotten messed up on the way to your phone. if that doesn't work, and hopefully it will, then i would take the phone in and have them replace it. also, have you used a data cable with the phone? i am guessing not, since you are sending yourself pix and ringers, but i figured i would ask...

Nope, never used a data cable with this phone. I actually just got a data cable for my Motorola T720, but I switched to Verizon from Cingular today so I had to get a new phone (the LGVX6000). I've used a data cable before, but not with this phone since I don't have one.

I called the number and it still doesn't seem to work. New pictures are still showing up as old ones or one of the default ones. I'm receiving ringtones fine though.

it sounds like there is a bug with your particular phone. if i was you, i would take it into a VZW store and swap it out for a new one. it's covered under a year warranty and that is covered, just tell them that what happened and don't leave the store until you have a new phone...
ok, i just read your entire other post and have a question. did you port your number or did you get a new number with VZW?

New number.
Thanks for all the help by the way.

ok. i asked because usually a number port takes about 15 days for all of your calling plan features, like text and pix messaging, to work 100%...

15 days? no it takes 3 to 72 hours... when done in a retail store..
15 days if you do it over the 1800 number..

no, you missed my point. it only takes a few hours to actually do the port and sometimes up to 72 hours for you to be able to make and recieve calls from the new phone. it CAN take up to 15 days though for all of your features to work 100% of the time. by that, i mean every text message you send may NOT be sent or received even though the phone says it was. the same goes for pix messages. it happened to me, my friend and some of his friends. i was actually going to change my number and get a verizon number because of it, but it improved little by little over the next few weeks until it was at 100% two weeks later. the same happened to his friends, but only to people that ported their number from a different carrier to verizon...

another thing you might want to check is with tech support..
seems my 6000 wouldnt get pix.... it was an error in the pix server. nothing to do with features being added or deleted on my account.

it was figured out, the person sent pictures to their phone that were in the incorrect format. that's why they saw them on the pix message screen, but when they went to look at them in the graphics folder after they were saved the pix weren't there...
