One touch dialing S56?

One of you must know how to do this. I want to set up "speed dialing" on my phone, but can't seem to get it right. I want to take an existing contact and assign them a single digit that I can hold down and it will dial that person. How do I do this? Can I have speed dial AND voice dial set up for the same contact. Whenever I try to use voice dial it invariably calls the wrong person.

Thanks

On my S55, I push a single digit (2-9) and then the right button allows me to set that "hot key" to a phone number or a feature.
After set, just press and hold and the number is dialed. You may be trying to set "1" and I recieve the same "voice" setup.

Setting speed dial is the same as described above for the S55: Press and hold the key that you want to assign, and you'll get a menu; first choice on the menu is "phone number"; selecting that option gets you into your addressbook (maybe into your phonebook instead if that is set as the default); you then select a number. (If the key is already assigned, instead of pressing and holding, just press the key, then select the right soft-key (name to which key is currrently assigned), then select left soft-key ("change").) You can have a speed dial and a voice dial for the same number; no problem.

As for your problem with the voice dialing, it's hard to know why it is hearing you wrong. Could be too much background noise either when you recorded or when you are trying to use the voice dial. Or it could be that your entries sound too much alike -- I think they recommend using multiple syllables to adequately differentiate your entries (e.g., "my office" instead of "work").
