When you get the message, can you hear the song playing?

Well, this is what I did to upload stuff to my phone:

1) Open the folder that has your .MP3 file. Go to 'Tools' > 'Folder Options'. Then click on the 'View' Tab at the top.

2) UNcheck the option that says, "Hide Extensions for Known File Types" (if it is already unchecked, leave it). Hit 'OK'.

3) So you should see your file. Right-click on the .MP3 file, and go to, 'Rename'...

4) What you want to do now, is change the end of the filename from .mp3 to .mid . If your song was called "MySong.MP3" you would rename it to "MySong.mid" (without quotes). It will ask you if you really want to change it -- say 'Yes' .

5) From here, I go to Microsoft Outlook (because I'm usually at work, and Verizon won't let you send files to your phone after 9pm) and make a new email. You have to make sure that it's "Plain-text formatted" and not "HTML formatted". This makes it so that it won't put extra code in the email that the phone can't read.

6) Fill out the subject line only. Don't put in any text. Next, attach the file that you renamed, and send it to 'yourphonenumber@vzwpix.com' (make sure it's really your phone number).

If the file is under 100k, then it should work fine.

If it doesn't, then post a message here.

You might have to mess around with the settings of the .mp3 file, to make sure that it's got the right compression setup.
