7210 - battery life.

Around 3 weeks ago I sent my 7210 off to be repaired as it was switching itself off regulary, it came back and apparently it had been given a software upgrade and hasn't done it since - excellent.

However, I noticed straight away that the charge of the battery wasn't lasting as long. Previously it was going up to four days without needing a charge (I hardly use it), but since it's come back it's needed charging every two days and in the last two to three days it's been charged twice and is now down to three bars despite being charged last night and only two text messages being sent all day.

Is this common with 7210's or does it sound like I have another problem, maybe with a dodgy battery?

its possible that the new software makes the phone use functions that will drain power faster. im surprised none of the pros have responded to you. read the FAQ pages and turn stuff offlike the sim clock , auto clock update (if ure in US with t-mobile it updates like every 10 mins dont ask me why) cell tower info.

these things should technically shave like a couple of mins from your total battery life.

but also remember that those batteries are designed for about 500 charges about the life of your phone before u will want an upgrade at that time, the battery life starts shortening until it will no longer power the phone,

try exchaning the battery first those other stuff arent too technicall u can leave them if u arent bothered
