8600 Usb Driver

Ok, ive read every single thread in this forum and cannot find a solution for my problem. hopefulkly on of you can answer these questions for me. My first problem was my 8600 turning off when i would plug it in. It would say battery low and shut off. Taking off the battery and pluggin it in and letting it run of the usb power fixed that problem. However the real problem is that when i plug it in it says "One of the usb devices attatched to this comp has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it." I am doing this off of my laptop that has XP pro and ive tried numerous drivers that do not work. I still get the same message every time. If someone knows how to solve this, Please PM me or post. Thank you

yeah one of those peice of ××××× "USB Data Cable."
Im trying to return it now and ordered the mok8600 cause i dont wanna fuss around anymore. but is there a working driver for the ebay one?
