CDM8900 & A Brand New Stubby Antenna

So I purchased a 1cm tall stubby antenna from a place called westongue.com and I gotta say; Besides removing the Verizon Wireliess banner, this is the best thing I have done to my phone! I live in Denver, CO & I had great reception all over the metro area with the original antenna, & I notice no difference in reception with this new stubby one. I even took a trip to Winter Park, and I had reception all the way through Berthoud Pass. (Just like I did with the original.) The phone fits in my pocket & looks a lot better now. Anyone else trade up their antanna? I'm guessing that an extendable is only of use to people in fringe areas of coverage, because I never needed to extend mine around here. I guess at worst, you can take an $8 gamble (what I paid) to see if you can do away with the ugly original.

awesome!! i was worried about the reception. since with the stubby types, you cant really pull them out like the OE one.. im glad to hear that it doesnt affect the reception quality.. that means imma go out and buy one now!

I actually like the retractable steel antennae, like in this post:

I don't like the nub.

I just didn't like how the phone looked & I didn't like how it fit in my pocket with the OEM antenna. Although I admit, if I lived in a bad reception area, I doubt I would have even looked for a stubby antenna. (I guess Denver just has some ×××× good coverage.)

which antenna is that oen exactly? There are several on the site that kind of look like that one.
It does look really good.
