How to Adjust the backlight timeout On an S56

Hi There,
I just bought a used S56 for a good price. I have checked the manual and the forum but I can't find any info on adjusting the time for the backlight to turn off. It turns off after about 2 secs. I'd like to increase that time to a longer interval. Does anyone have any info on this? Ihave ysed the search button but I couldn't find anything.

You can't

Simply because I reckon it's down to battery usage. Whether or not you can get into the programming of the phone is another question.

According to the description on the Siemens website, the backlight will stay on if the phone is plugged into a Siemens car kit. It's unclear whether this also works with a car power adapter.

nope, light does not stay on with a car charger.
