vtext.com msgs not beeping?

Hi all,
I just got a new cdm 8900 and the text messaging seems messed up. I can send and receive messages fine, but when I get a message through vtext.com, my phone doesn't notify me. It receives it ok, just no message tone.
Other sms messages beep normally. Any ideas why?
This is important to me because I get automated messages through vtext.com if there is a problem at work, but I don't realize it until way after it happens.
