Howdy,

I'm looking for a really cheap cell plan from a decent provider and looks like Virgin will work for me. I don't have a phone at all so any company would mean me buying a phone.

And I'm looking for the a way to not spend much money since this is a phone that would probably get used for a small number of minutes per month.

The Rave K7 is the cheapest one listed on the VM website and looks like it can be had on ebay for around $40 or so.

Is there anything bad with this phone that I should be aware of? Is there a reason to flat out not go with this phone and to look for a higher model if it's just basically for an emergency type phone that won't get a whole lot of use?

I wouldn't use it to access the web or anything like that so hacking the phone would probably never be a need of mine...

Sprint coverage is pretty poor once you leave the highways.
Other than that; I LOVE The Rave.
I really like www.locusmobile.com where you can get 80 minutes for $2 (PM me if your interested; I don't have the exact link with me) and then buy a phone on EBay for only $5-10 (Nokia 5165/6120); and that might be a better deal; certainly with better coverage; than Virgin thanks to free roaming onto different networks.
