Cool! I have the first post!

I replaced my landline with VoIP from Vonage. I cut the teleco's copper so I still get to use the home wiring for my handsets!!!

I'm thinking of doing it... cityfido way.

I got one concern (for now). At my buliding, if visitors want to park outside overnight, you must call 1-900 #, and they charge you few buks for parking.
Cell phones don't allow you to call 1-900.

Other thing; I got ident-a-call feature on my landline for fax. I can't see how I can keep my fax# with cityfido.

These aren't huge issues, money talks in the end.

I only use my cell phone except when I am at work. Then I use a landline. I think the reason for my sole dependence on my phone is that I am never home so a land line would be useless for me and I also have tons of minutes with Cingular roll over. I think that I would also like to get a line with T-Mobile when I go to school next fall.

BTW I am bored. Sorry for the boring post.

u may need to call fido and ask them to all you to call 1-900 #'s [it is prolly a default setting that may be able to be changed]

and yes, u can't port an ident-a-call # .. it is a virtual # to begin with, on your ILEC.
