I bought it off my brother..it has been sitting in my house for a month..and i just started using it... here are my likes and dislikes

Likes

- metal housing
- Looks nice
- external LCD
- Tri-band
- menu works the same as the V66 SE i had
- buttons easy to press
- VERY GOOD reception
- Flip closes tightly

Dislikes

- Phone is too common
- Inside of the phone is ugly
- Heavy with stock battery ( i bought slim battery and slim battery door)
- antenna looks ugly
- charger folds up...kinda tricky to plug it without it moving around
- headset doesnt work that well..have to play around with it to get the fuzziness away

OVERALL- Nice phone...and i only spent 120 USD on it...but my brother decided not to take my money...so its free!! yay!!

Good review. Makes me comfortable with my new purchase - phone arriving sometime today!

One question.

How do you silence a call if you decide not to answer it?

Thanks!

Press the side volume key either up or down.
I think if you press it up it declines the call, while pressing it down just silences the ring. It could be the other way around though. Either way it will silence the ringer or stop the vibrating motor.

try going to daydeal.com you can buy mods for the motorola antennae. you can even get a small stubby one to replace the ugly factory ones.

the v60g is a far better value for what u get compared 2 the v70 ( even though the are both a little overpriced if u ask me ).... I wish that they had COMPLETELY antena-less ( not jus stubby add ons ), it would complete what should be a very comfortable phone to put in your pocket....

hmm..not really...the antenna doesnt bother me that much...what bothers me is the phone is still thick WITH slim battery and slim battery cover...and it still weighs kind of heavy...

and if Moto made the V60 and V70 antenna-less..the reception on both phones will decrease alot...i think the reason Moto has far better reception compared to ericsson and nokia is because of their antenna...

well if the size/weight of the v60 is a problem and you're willing to sacrifice some features it might be better to just get the v66. isn't that one a little smaller and priced lower?

Yeah, they are good. Actually they let me walk in and choose whatever I want, bring it home and try it out before I pay them.

I agree!! I had the cdma v60 the pull out antennae was killer.. i broke it.. now i have the v60g the antennae doesnt come out but its still ugly. Id think it would be the msot stylish phone if it was antena-less.

Hey fuf,

In your review you say, "The V.60 has also received 40 ringtones and 3 types of vibrating alerts which each ringtone or alert can be customized for each person in your phonebook"

I can't seem to customize ringtones for people in my phonebook. What version of the software do you have? What menu is this in? The phone would be almost perfect if it had this feature and an alarm with snooze.

Please advise.

John
