i have gone through all of these threads about ringtones for LG VX6000. i have my USB cable, all the proper drivers, Bitpim 0.7, and my LG VX6000. now everything is hooked up and ready to go and i am trying to get MP3 songs from my PC and make them ringtones.

i have tried to convert the MP3 files to MID files. that doesnt work. when i send it to my phone and play them there is no sound.

a friend of mine said she did not have to convert anything she just recorded part of the song and sent it to her phone but for some reason she cant remember how she did it. and i know it worked because she sent the ringtone to my phone and we both have LG VX6000.

if anyone can show me step by step the correct way to make MP3 songs ringtones and i dont want the entire song as a ringtone either. if someone could help me i would greatly appriciate it. i have had this phone for 3 months now and i am still trying to get these ringtones to work....

download soundforge 7 and pick an mp3 song you want as a ringtone. Edit about 30 seconds out of that song and save it. You now have your very own mp3 ringtone.

Its as simple as that.
