Weird BitPim thing with "X"

okay, so I sent a bunch of pix to my phone, two of which were named "matrix" and "tux"
[sent through BitPim 0.7-test11, through futuredial cable, to LG-VX6000, files were 120 x 131 bmp's]
So on the I look at my graphics folder, and as expected all files are there except the "tux" and "matrix" are listed as "tu" and "matri", respectively...
Why did the phone delete the "x" from each file???
I know this is not really a problem, and I changed thier name once on the phone.... but I am jsut curious as to why this happend.
Anyone elese willing to do it or to venture a guess?
