Is there a program that lets you take a part of a song and save it as an mp3 or other audio format? I was trying to make my own ringtone and use a certain 30sec clip out of a song.

what you can do is get a program that changes Mp3 to WAV and just edit it with windows sound recorder. I have done this a few times not with ringtones but with other things I wanted parts of songs for. And i am pretty sure that .WAV works on phones as ringtones as well. There are a lot of freeware converters on download.com just search for "mp3 to wav'' and you should get what you are looking for.

edits lots of sound formats, except, MID but from WMA, WAV, and MP3 get that to fix up your songs.

no need for a 3rd party proggy.... just use windows sound recorder to cut out parts of a song.
