Deleting an mp3

I was making some Mp3's for my phone, and I just went to delete one on my phone (using bitpim) and on Bitpim it says it isn't there anymore, but on my phone it says it is. It doesn't play, but the text is still there. How do I go about deleting it? I tried restarting my phone and deleting it through the phone, but it is still there. Thanks. Also, how much memory does a LG 4500 have exactly before I have to start deleting songs?
