S40 Firmware Upgrade Question!

Hi Everyone,

I have recently got my hands on a Siemens S40 with version 2.9.0 firmware, and after having it freeze on me numerous times, I'd like to have the firmware upgraded. I'm in Canada myself, and was hoping that it might be possible to send it somewhere in Canada to be upgraded.

I spoke with Siemens on the phone, and they gave me the address of a place in Minnesota where they said that they can do such things. They couldn't give me a price on how much it would cost, however, and I have yet to receive a return call from the people in Minnesota.

So, I'm wondering if any of you have gone about upgrading your firmware, and if so, how did you do it? How much did it cost? Where did you send it to?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i think you'll probably have to do it that way... www.my-siemens.com usually has the latest fw available to download but it seems as though that's only for the 45 series. you can try posting in the buy/sell/trade area and there might be someone who can help you... chances are that there should be someone in gta that can help you. good luck
