The AudioVOX 8610: Another Virgin Mobile Mistake?

Virgin Mobile, thy name is frustration.
I'm sure there's many a kindred spirit out there who, like me, bought this atttractive looking phone expecting excellent features and an overall shining tomorrow. However, it appears that this little phone is another guillo-esque creature of Virgin Mobile failure.
First off, this phone is limited in every sense. The wap is locked, even to the point of the OpenWave Browser v4.1 does not have the opition to enter in a URL. Per waptunnels and all those other little tcp tricks, it is rather impossible to experiment, you can't access ANY page outside the Virgin Mobile WAP Vxtras.
In anycase, to access the browser menu, one merely needs to hit the "up" arrow located on the the left side of the phone(not the one in the center orbiting the OK) while viewing the "Virgin Extras". This opens up a menu like this:
Browser Menu
1>Reload
2 Home
3 About Openwave
4 Advanced...
Don't get excited, the Advanced options are just
Advanced
1>Show Url
2 Set WAP Proxy
3 Offline Services
4 Outbox
5 Restart Browser
6 Encryption
Show Url displays an uneditatble text url of the current page the browser resides. If that page is different from your normal homepage of Vxtras, and not an error page, you have the option to set it as the new homepage. Good Luck navigating somewhere new, due to the aforementioned issue.
Pleaze Post any thoughts on this Below
