New version of Agile Msngr - 2.20

just got the notice on my phone.

I'll update with any changes....

Things noticed so far:

1) sending msgs from AIM to the phone results in the msg being wrapped in html (but this may be due to the trillian IM prog. I'm using)

2) New msg sound for arrival.

3) The aim buddy list still appears to be broken.

I am experiencing the same problems. It appears as if Agile has WORSTENED the situation rathering than improving it.

Also, I'm noticing more difficulty logging on, sometimes I reciveve error pop-ups directing me to their support page.

Works great for me (so far), except that the responses I get from people are in HTML...

I've gone back to 2.11, because of the HTML garbage I see with 2.20. It's just too hard to read people's messages.

Everytime I launch 2.11, I click "no" when it asks me to upgrade now. So if a newer version than 2.20 come sout that fixes the html text bug, let me know

Version 2.21 is out now, fixes html wrapped messages bug, but my user list still doesn't show the correct amount of online people. I'd say 15% of my online users appear as offline when they are really online. Also something else about it is weird, it seems like it's always the same users, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

It seems like it's always the same users from my list that appear as offline, when they are really online--is what I*meant to say in the post above.

Ironic, at first my buddies weren't showing up as online either so I deleted all the buddies from the "mobile device" group and put them all under buddies and now they all show up.

It sounds like you might be on to something. When you say deleted all your buddies, do you mean actually removed them all, then manuall re-added them? I*tried doing that to one of the buddies that never shows as online, and it didn't help. Also, I'm not using any groups at all, all my buddies are in my main buddy list. Did you manually put some people into a custom list called "mobile device?"

2.21 works great for me (HTML garbage is gone now). All of my buddies show up, but I don't use that "Mobile Group" crap that AIM used to create. I just have one main buddy list...

BTW if my picture doesn't show up, right click and "show picture" works for me.

Okay and now to answer your post: I mean just have one general list of buddies, not on AM but on your AIM buddy list [on your computer]. Like the picture.

The "mobile device" group that I was talking about was formed when I was using sms for AIM.

Here this is what I would do..

Get on your computer and get online with AIM
[while your on AM if you want]
Save you buddy list incase something happens
Delete everyone on your AM buddy list
Sign off both computer AIM and AM
Sign back on with AM

I don't really remember what I did, but I think this is what I did. But sometimes some people jsut don't show up. Majority of the people on my list show up except one person, me, on my computer [different sn]. Anyway, try this and see if it helps! [I do not claim any responsibility for any lost buddies!!]

I made sure all my buddies were in one buddy list named "Buddies" and it didn't help. I'd say 5 people out of the 50 on my list never show as online. It's really frustrating. I've tried removing them from my list with Agile Messanger, and readding them, but they are still offline. I've tried completely reinstalling AM, and removing all it's preference files many time. Sigh.

write to them? am 3 is supposed to come out soon... hopefully they fix the problem! but 45/50 that's pretty good tho right? better than nothing.

Why use Agile. All previous versions of Agile never worked for me and caused numerous problems (not signing off/delay of IM's/failed IM transfers). Once I installed IM+, I've never had a problem and never had to go back to Agile. I recommend IM+

I think Agile's preface and menus are better than IM+. When AM couldn't connect I switched over to IM+ and could get on either. It was because of the ports being opened and closed not because of the programs. So it's just your preference..

btw does IM+ let you send pictureS?

Has anyone gotten this to work with Tmobile? I can't seem to get any service to connect with this or IM+. I can browse using Opera, check email, update Worldmate, etc. Any connection settings I need to check?

its working fine lately, use to not working it depend on the when they (tmobile) open all the ports!!
the only problem im have is the the phone rebooting it self when using agile, thats happening ith the last 2 versions i had no problem with the erliest versions

Are you using tzones or a full data plan? I am using tzones and I don't think the correct ports are open with tzones.
