The wavs I have made through dbpoweramp sound good, but there is a lot of hiss that goes along with them. Is there a program that will help me edit the hiss out?

Use cool edit

Use its hiss reduction tool works like a champ

I tried to use cool edit, but after I used the hiss removal filter it sounded exactly the same when I played it using quicktime.

Any suggestions?
