Programming project for the 8900

I am new here so it might be wrong for me to offer this up, but from what I have seen I think we have the talent as well as people with the broadband(snoop) to help out.
I am proposing to write a program for the 8900.
CID wrote a nice simple program to write the download_snd.txt file. http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...15&pagenumber=1 Using that program and code from bitpim I think it is possiable to write a program that could fully manage(add and delete... yes delete) your ringtones on the 8900. I think the problem with deleting objects on the phone is that there are other files you must change or all hell breaks loose. This is why the bitpim guys gave up(I think). The progam could at least also retrieve photos. Maybe eventualy we could fully manage them as well? (can you delete photos from bitpim without goofing things up?)
As for graphics and animations, people are looking into that right now. I am betting that you can add them but it will be different for each carrier. Maybe there is a seceret folder that can be manualy added to the phone to make it work for all carriers? Maybe there is a file that can be changed for graphics(point to dir/file) or maybe it is hardcoded in.
Is anyone interested? Please add any comments(not about my spelling and gramar) or ideas.

I think if any program or hack is to be written for the 8900, it should be for the one & only purpose of removing the date/time yellow box display!
Granted, I have a lot of spare time, so I don't care about all the phonebook syncing, I've entered all my numbers in manually. Same thing with all the tones & pics, Using Bitpim forces you to only work with one file at a time, which in turn makes you do things CAREFULLY!

Yeah that yellow box messes up my Matrix and Nelly Furtado wallpaper.

I will host project files up to 15 megs. As I said I have unlimited bandwidth and I also have a bigger site I have not even used yet.
