Is there no North American version(850) available right now?

Posted by: mingmo

bingo.... there is no such thing as a north american X70.... the 850mhz band doesn't exist on any X70 or X88.

Ah I see. So I guess it was either a mistake or bad information then.

it was planned, but it was dropped so no go.

I saw one on Ebay once, but do not know if it was a scam. Saw one being tested in Atlanta, but guess it was not stable enough for sell

If it came out to North America, give it a year and it'll be a GD88

yeah and in the year's time that passes...the 850 X70 would be old and ghetto just like the GD88

nope, mine has that too under networks, but it isn't

Posted by: Jun

no, i'm talking about the actual phone, not the network. One the phone, the AT&T Wireless stick is there (meaning the phone was used with AT&T wireless)

Posted by: phatroyale

thats possible, but an 850 version is not coming anytime at all...

do you have a pic?
i think originally they were going to carry the phone but ended up not
so it's possible that it was one of their test phones
i heard there were a few 850 out there somewhere, but they weren't production models
