Many a times, Opera closes down suddenly and this error flashes on the display of my P800. Any ideas as to why this occurs?

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling? That may clear out some corrupted files/preferences. Sometimes the uninstall feature doesn't get all the prefs from an app, so I usually hunt through the system folder with SMAN, and kill anything related before I reinstall.

I'll try that.

You might want to check your Opera settings, changing the cache size to large.

Firmware also has a lot to do with that error so check to see you have the latest greatest R5A on your phone.

Phone f/w: R2F

BT f/w: R5A

Was a f/w upgrade released after this?

Clear the cache, history, and coockies.

BTW, is it happening with every site, or just some more complicated ones? I sometimes get that on my P900, but usually with some heavyweight and javascript-infested sites.

I always run out of memory when using opera, I wish it could cache to the MS.

i get the same problem here and there. I updated opera and it hasnt crashed once.

it also depends on the site too. if the page is huge, it crashes

hmm..so basically there's nothing wrong with the phone huh. That's good to know.

Errors have been minimised now after i've reinstalled Opera. But the errors are still there.

But you can.

Just edit the file from c drive to d drive.

Elaborate please. Which file is it?

I don't remember at this time as it's been several months now.

It could be the *.ini file. Try opening a few of the Opera files and look for the line "cache = c:/" or something like that and change it to "d:/".

Good luck.
