Originally posted by Nokarola i seen that cadilac before thats from some one in the nextel board. Im not exactly sure, it either lights up when the turn signal activates so you can see where you about to turn into, or are parking lights. |

Originally posted by TheOne They're cornering lights. When you activate your turn signal, those lights (on the appropriate side) will light up. Its so you can see around a corner. |

Originally posted by AndyLHoang Yes you are correct. I've seen them on certain cars and buses. It(the light on the side you are signalling) turns on whenever the driver signals left or right. It helps illuminate the side you are signalling. Cadillac calls them Cornering Lamps. |

Originally posted by crocket I had a 2000 deville DTS, those lights come in real handy on dark roadways they really light up the side of the road when you make a turn. I loved that car, i wish i had'nt traded it for a lincoln ls. |

Originally posted by Joel930 I was in the Deville yesterday and saw this for myself. Indeed, when you put the turn signal on, those cornering lights do illuminate. How bright are they? Can you put brighter bulbs in them? Thats the vehicle I was in yesterday, Red 2000 Deville DTS, no lumbar, no heated seats (front or rear), no sunroof, steering wheel shifter, digital dash but other than that its an ok car I guess. After being stuck in rush-hour traffic on the FDR drive, I was thinking of posting my findings wirelessly but I was just so tired from driving around the whole day. Sure the car is nice and has a much better suspension than my Bravada, it is definitely a little on the big side. Maybe not as big as a Lincoln Town Car but definitely up there. I guess I just got so used to sitting higher up in SUVs and vans (Bravada.00, Escalade.02, Grand Caravan.99) that sitting so low, my feet were really achey when I parked it at the end of the day despite all the legroom. I tend to sit quite close to the wheel and not take advantage of all the legroom. Also, crocket, what about the Deville do you like over the LS? If I had a choice, I'dd definitely choose the LS over the Deville. Why? First of all cause of size! The Deville is way too big for me. I like something thats manageable. Parking is a little rough. I find myself having to manuever quite a lot. Also, the parking spots where I am are sometimes rather small (thanks to iddiots who like to take up 2 spots), this would be a problem. I'dd much rather the decent-sized LS over the Deville. Also, the parts in the Deville seem to be those the quality of GM-which is lower-grade. I'dd say the LS is more luxurious hands-down. |

Originally posted by crocket The reason i like the dts over the ls is because of it's size, I am not a small person and found the ls too tight inside. also the ls was always in for repairs, in the year and half i owned the car i had 4 windows fall into the doors, Rear brakes had to be replaced due to a problem with the traction control, bushings on the front end needed replacing, upper ball joints needed replacing, seal on the crankcase leaked, 3rd brake light needed replacing, interior trim pieces kept falling off and so on and so on, i have had two caddiies and never had that many problems with either of them. personally i find the caddie to be a much nicer automobile. |

Originally posted by Joel930 WOW, you probably had a lemon there. I can definitely understand how the Caddy accomodates your needs much better than the LS. I'd assume that you had one with a bench seat in the front with the steering wheel shifter, right? |

Originally posted by crocket My caddy had the bucket seats and the console. I liked the ls it handled better than the caddy and it was real nice to drive, to bad it had to fall apart. |
