hey,
I've been looking for cheap a$$ foreign cars in the classifieds. And thats what i found. Here they are as follows:

1979 Datsun 510- 104k miles- asking 500
1983 Honda Civic- 97k miles - asking 500
1987 Caddy Sedan Deville- unkown miles- asking 500
1989 Caddy Coupe Deville- 180k miles- asking 700
1987 300zx- 140k miles- asking 696
1989 240sx- 110k miles- asking 500
1994 Dodge Intrepid- 160k miles- asking 800
1988 Totota Camry - 170k miles- asking 500

lemme know which one you think would be the better deal? I know i know, all these cars are crap, but which one seems like the best?

240sx, nice n cheap drifiting car project there

Posted by: eibowow3650

i called the 240sx people, but nobody every answers!

the 300zx was sold

the 83 civic was sold

i think i like the Datsun.

The caddies are gonna be too problematic. Old american cars cant be trusted.

the intrepid seemed like a deal to me. But the people never asnwer their phone either

Posted by: Malaco0219

i was gonna say the fair lady

how about calling the 240sx ppl again?

Posted by: eibowow3650

fair lady... thats the datsun right?

this is the ad for the datsun:

Datsun '79 510- 4 spd. 4dr, no rust, 1 owner. Clean in/out. Runs Perfect $575/obo.

When i talked to him he said it had 104k miles, was garage kept and he said he was willing to compromise with me since im young and i called him about the honda too! (he's a nice guy)

I want the 240sx- heres the ad:

Nissan '89 240sx- good parts car, alum whls, springs, good int. $500

does that mean it doesnt work? I know some cars they say are good parts cars but it could mean the car is so old, but it could still run.

fairlady is the nissan z series so in this case, the 300zx

Posted by: NextelsOnly

I like the 89 Cadillac out of all of them, but you will run into a boatload of problems down the road. Buy the Datsun instead!

25 yrs old car, and no rust? unless it's fully restored, or I smell scam..

Anytime someone says "good parts car" in the actual ad, its a pretty good bet that there is some gigantic problem with it, like an engine that is seized up or a missing transmission or its been in an accident. Don't get a parts car planning to drive it...

Oh, and as for the Intrepid, I'd say skip it, unless you just want a vehicle you can drive for a short time and then dump when it breaks. Its probably going to be the most comfortable, modern, and safe (crash wise) out of all of them, but it may also be the least reliable...

go wih the camry...camrys are like beaters but just need to worry about the rust from all the salt

Posted by: Punani2000

why don't you save up a little more, You can buy a nicer car and save yourself some regret you will feel later for buying such a cheap car

Posted by: altec18

get a civic

it's very reliable

Posted by: mau108

if the 240 is only for parts, then id say camry would be the next best choice, are there any other cars up for sale now in your price range?

id also save up a bit more and get a decent 90's car...
