Best T226 Datacable

I just bought a used T226 to replace my Motorola P280. I want to get a data cable for the T226 but I am not sure which cable is better for my needs. I want to be able to upload ring tones and graphics, flash the firmware of the phone if possible, and use my phone as a data modem to connect to the internet.

I searched HoFo for a solution, some recommended the DCU-10, others DCU-11. Which is a better solution, or what would you recommend?

Thanks

DCU-10 is a serial cable, while the DCU-11 is the USB equivalent. Go for the DCU-11 for ease of use or the DCU-10 for compatibility. The USB port is probably a LOT faster.

Thanks mmx,

I picked up a DCU-11 cable. Had some problems finding the Prolific USB-serial drivers, because they weren't on the CD, and the prolific site is horrible. But once I got it going, it was beautiful.

Thanks

Where did you get the cable from? How much?

Thanks.

Got it at a cellphone shop downtown Hamilton, I paid 35 bucks for it. I know that is a lot, but it's instant gratification. LOL I don't have to wait for it to be shipped to me. Actually, I've since sold the T226 and only have the T616 now, with a Moto P280 as a backup. I am going to be looking at getting the T637 or the Nokia 6230b next.
